Minifig Monday #39: Oola

LEGO Minifigure: Oola

Today’s minifig comes from the 2012 Star Wars Jabba’s Palace set. Oola is one of Jabba’s twi’lek slave dancers in Return of the Jedi who meets an untimely end in the rancor pit. Like in the movie, the minifigure wears little but some netting and a belt to hold it together. Turns out this led to a little bit of controversy, with some people complaining that the minifig was inappropriate. Of course, this would also make the gold bikini Leia minifig inappropriate, when both are really just representing characters from the movie!

Minifig Monday is a weekly post in which I feature a random LEGO minifigure from my personal collection. Unless otherwise stated, all minifigs have been photographed by me, TriangularRoom.

I think you’ll find you misspelled “Oolala!” 😉
