Evelyn found out she was pregnant shortly after the fireplace incident. She tried to keep fit, and encouraged her sister to do the same.
Evelyn was also desperate to finish the book she was working on before the baby arrived. She wasn’t going to let anything get in the way of her dream of becoming a world famous author.
Baby Freddy was born a couple of days later. Evelyn secretly hoped that he would become the heir. Assuming he didn’t turn out evil like his sister, of course. Not that a younger sibling had ever become a Jones heir… still, Evelyn hoped.
Edith had been neglecting her art again. Even her paintings were distressed. They also reflected what had been keeping her busy (besides household fires): gardening.
After generations of hard work from the Jones family, Edith was the one who added the first cowplant to the garden! (She hadn’t been convinced that it would really grow, but she planted it anyway.)
Little Freddy grew up so fast. He wasn’t evil like Felicia. Instead, he was a lazy child. That didn’t stop him from dreaming of becoming a whiz kid though!
